LIBBY CALLAWAY IS A NASHVILLE-BASED CREATIVE CONSULTANT AND FOUNDER OF THE CALLAWAY.
As a fashion editor and journalist, Libby has contributed to some of the country’s most widely regarded magazines and newspapers, including the New York Post, where she was employed as a writer and editor from 1997 to 2004. As a freelance fashion and style writer, she has penned stories for publications and websites including Elle, the New York Times’ T magazine, Style.com, Travel + Leisure and Glamour, where she had her own fashion advice column.
Libby is the former New York City-based marketing director for the Alabama fashion house Billy Reid and media director for Nashville denim company Imogene + Willie. She makes frequent presentations and moderates panels on the subjects of style and the fashion industry. Libby is on the Advisory Board of OZ Arts in Nashville and is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nashville Fashion Alliance. She holds a BA in English literature from The University of Tennessee – Knoxville, and an MA in Cultural Reporting & Criticism from New York University.
A former wardrobe stylist and vintage clothing dealer, Libby is a noted secondhand shopping expert. Her unique personal style and professional advice on the subject has appeared in InStyle, Elle, Lucky, Us Weekly, Nylon, Vogue, Style.com and NBC’s The Today Show, as well as the The Selby.
A native of Cleveland, Tennessee, Libby lives in East Nashville.
Katy Smith joined The Callaway in early 2017, a year after relocating to Nashville from New York City, where she worked in fashion media and PR.
Katy got her start in 2011, assisting the fashion directors at Lucky magazine. Two years later, she made the move to public relations. As an account executive at LaForce, she handled contemporary fashion brands including Haspel, Jay Godfrey, The Limited, NYDJ and Etsy, and produced large-scale events, including seasonal runway shows for BCBG and Herve Leger at New York Fashion Week.
In 2013, she joined international fashion PR agency Karla Otto as account manager. By the time she left the company in 2016, she had been promoted to account director, handling luxury fashion clients including Tim Coppens, Charlotte Olympia, Agent Provocateur, Steven Alan, Mary Katrantzou, Berluti, Baja East and Lisa Marie Fernandez.
A native of Minneapolis, Katy lives in East Nashville.
